Hey Erin!
Ben
59:17
will certain classes get cut? and will science labs still take place?
Mike Mohebbi
01:00:08
simon if you want to make me a cohost I can help manage microphones

Say that time again please
Leigh Ann Lively
01:00:49
My question is about the respiratory therapy program. I am a second year student and we will not get the full clinical hours needed to graduate. CoARC has agreed to let us graduate on time. Will Foothill allow us to graduate on time even though hospitals have pulled our clinical rotations?
Pauline Brown
01:00:54
Simon can you repeat that time and day again please?

Hello Everyone; A polite reminder to mute unless you are asking a question. Thank you!

01:03:00
Hi Simon, what if I need a PE class to graduate? I am planning on taking it in the spring quarter and have already registered for a course.
Rebecca
01:03:59
I am also a second year respiratory student and I was already needing to make up hours but now you have closed campus and I can’t make up on campus or at the hospital. plus all of our in person necessary spring classes what is your plan to get us graduated on time so we can join the workforce and help the desperate shortage or healthcare workers?
Louise
01:04:59
Can you make the Clipper Card optional? Many students only take online classes. They don’t need the Clipper Card. Our spring quarter only offers online classes. It has no reason to charge us for the Clipper Card.
Rebecca
01:06:24
I am also wondering if I will be getting a refund for my parking pass and for classes that cannot be done online, like our computer simulation classes. my main issue is the lack of information for the big issues for allied health programs. I only get blanket emails that don’t necessarily give ahs any peice of mind
Catey
01:07:14
Hi can I get refunded for part of my annual parking pass since we won't be at the campus for the spring quarter?
Ted
01:07:18
I’m part of the Pharmacy technician program, the email yesterday said that there will be a limited exception for those that are in Allied Health Program. Does this means that students will somehow have to show up to in person to do their lab assignment?

Wow.. huge round of applause to all of the hardworking staff and faculty at foothill college.

01:08:44
Most of us have purchased a year long on-campus parking permit, I was wondering if we would get any sort of refund since we will not be on-campus.

Would it be possible to waive late fees for library returns until the campus returns to in-person instruction?
Melissa Cervantes

Library fees are suspended

01:11:58
Oh thanks
Nick Hughes

As a reminder, please mute your mic until you are ready to talk, or called on. Thank you.

I not able to register for classes due to the old face to face times being on there causing a “time conflict error”. Will these old class times be removed/fixed to state “online” if and when all classes are decided to be virtual for the entire spring quarter? or would we have to abide by the old face to face times in place even though they are incorrect since virtual instruction will be Carried throughout the entire quarter?
Luke
01:13:39
Hi — I’ve also been curious about winter finals and how they’ll be fairly administered. I’ve had conversations with a couple of the deans including Ms. Cervantes. Unexpected online finals inherently favor the wealthy and the flexible, and while we are putting measures in place to remedy these situations, it seems like many students (such as people who were receiving wifi hotspots and computers “yesterday” or students who are in different time zones) are getting too little too late. I’ve also met with some of the Stanford students involved with their cancellation process and many of their reasons align closely with many of my (as well as many students) worries about equity and feasibility. I think it is naive to think it’s too late to take any drastic actions that would severely benefit students. Optional Finals would work (so that students with uncertain grades can still improve but students who need to focus on things like travel, residency, supply security, health, etc. can focus on those things).

Yogesh Badala
01:20:18
i wanted to ask what will happen for next quarter regarding lab courses, like O. chem and physics?
aliciahoffmann
01:20:54
Will classes move back on campus once the shelter in place is lifted? Or will classes meet remotely for the entire Spring Quarter? Does this also apply to De Anza classes?
Karen
01:21:00
I also wanted to know about the hotspot? because I do have internet but for zoom meetings I couldn’t take it to my room and the living room is too loud. is their a way I can resolve this?
student 1
01:21:20
Can you discuss the work around the paramedic program and making sure we are on track to graduating on time? We have specific lab (in-class) requirements as well has ED hospital clinical's, and internships on the ambulance that we are not able to take part of now and the foreseeable future. It sounds like there has been some movement around the state level to adjust requirements to help with us getting on the front lines and help with the pandemic.

Nick Hughes
01:25:03
How do classes like Ceramics become virtual?
jalalmohammed
01:29:19
HI, I am wondering how could we order an add code for a waitlisted classes?
Sam Hong Kio Tang
01:29:21
Will summer quarter still be virtual?
Daphne Small
01:30:04
I can look into the clipper card fee question and let you know.
Rebecca
01:30:06
can you make virtual office hours mandatory for teachers because I can never get ahold of anyone right now?
Nicole
01:30:16
How are questions being mined/selected? Do I need to call in? I'd like to know if there will be any issues with fin aid distrubtion?
TightEfxAIR
01:30:16
Add codes can only be requested on the first day of instruction using the Add Code For Foothill Online Course App
Louise
01:30:28
I suggest making the VTA SmartPass optional from now on. Many students don’t need it. Some companies provide public transit support to their employees. We shouldn’t be charged the things we can’t use.

ASFC services will still be offered. ASFC campus council student government will still meet and stay active via zoom and represent the students. Student government elections occur online already during the Spring so we will have a virtual election and we are also working on virtual options for campus clubs and other ways for students to stay engaged.
