Thanks for mentioning the FON. The reason that is in Ed Code is to encourage campuses to get to 75% of all instruction by FT faculty. As a district, we are currently at 48% of instruction by FTers.

To clarify, there are many PT faculty who lost their positions during the last round of budget cuts and have never regained their positions.

These cuts won’t be effective until July 2021. Not really due to the immediate pandemic, except that the pandemic is creating a weaker economy.

And these have to be “ongoing” cuts, not just temporary/one year cuts

VTA SmartPass update: VTA resumed fare collection on August 1st. Foothill has waived/refunded both the Summer and Fall SmartPass fees. Students who live in Santa Clara county are eligible for a Clipper card/VTA SmartPass. Clipper cards you have been previously issued should continue to work.
