Continuing on swimming, I work for a private swim club that is currently operating with social distancing guidelines. I can confirm the CDC's statement on transmission through water. My swim team had a positive case but no other members of the team contracted the virus.

Per county guidelines, our pool can safely hold 34 people, we could easily keep it under 17 just to be safe

The CDC has found no evidence of COVID-19 being transmitted through water in pools, additional those treated with Chlorine or Bromine should inactivate the virus

Our Sports Med department has a plan to monitor how we train and to monitor health screenings and to disinfect our equipment.

We hear you athletes and coaches. We will do our best to meet your requests while keeping everyone safe.

I would like to point out that in regards to country regulations, there are other teams in the country practicing currently and safely.

Per county guidelines, 1 athlete is allowed per 300 square feet of pool space..based on that, our pool can safely hold 34 athletes. We would limit it to 17.

What guidelines do community college fall under as far as athletics? We are not k-12, but we don’t have the resources of 4-years.

If we are talking about k-12. there are a multitude of high schools that are able to practice and play

Even going under the assumption of k-12 guidelines, there are high schools in our area that have returned to practice safely

to emphasize, cdc put out a statement that aquatic facilities show no sign of having the virus spread due to chlorine and bromine in the pool

Within the Los Altos area coronavirus cases have decreased, the highest number of cases was on August 11th in the past 2 months the trend has gone down not up

theres no direct evidence to suggest that our area is in a critical region
