Evan: What do you think that Foothill can do to help raise awareness of racism?
Ram Subramaniam
18:47
It is astounding that these numbers are as high, especially given the SIP when people are not even really out and about. Its worrisome to this what those numbers would be when people are out and about.

Would it be possible to put together a panel to help raise awareness of racism, the long history of anti-Asian sentiments and xenophobia (particularly as it relates to public health), and to have discussions about this with students, staff, and faculty? As well as workshops that would help us understand how to effectively intervene and respond if we see and hear this kind of xenophobia both in and outside of academic settings?

Free Speech is a founding pillar of our society, but we have strong laws that clearly define when racially charged speech or bullying are not allowed in the work place. How do we hold elected officials accountable when their speech falls outside what is allowed in the workplace?
